Beat the credit crunch
During tough economic times across the world, many people have been looking for ways to beat the credit crunch that has occurred. Here are some tips to help people find things easier through these rough times. The easiest changes that we can make are in regards to food and the house and home. When it comes to food, one can beat the credit crunch by making a few simple changes to their daily routine. Some of these are very easy to change and will go a long way in the effort to beat the credit crunch. 1. Take a brown bag lunch to work instead of buying it. This will put an extra $5 per day back in your pocket. 2. Try buying some store brand products as opposed to the more expensive name brand ones. They are often just as good tasting as the others, and will save a lot of money on the grocery bill. 3. Use up the leftovers from previous meals instead of throwing them in the garbage can. 4. When buying vegetables and fruit, you can save money by buying fresh produce that is in season. We tend to pay a lot more for the produce that is shipped during the off seasons times as they are flown in, adding the shipping costs to the price. Regarding the house and home there are several ways that we can beat the credit crunch and put more money into our pockets. Trying any of the tips below will help show savings very quickly. 1. When buying appliances look for the energy efficient logos that are on them. The hydro companies sometimes offer rebates to customers for making these kind of changes and the money you save will pay for the appliance very quickly with the savings you will receive. 2. Change to energy saver light bulbs. They last longer and can be purchased for a reasonable price and will show the difference on your electricity bill. 3. Make sure that your home is well insulated and windows are draft free during the cold months. Adding insulation and weather stripping to your home will help save a lot on heating costs. Another relatively easy and inexpensive way to beat the credit crunch and put money back in your pocket. There are many things that we can do that will make big differences in our costs. These are just a few of the easier ones that people can do on their own. No need to make appointments with the bank or anyone else to make these changes. They will show results quite quickly. Try them out and compare the differences on your bills. You will be amazed!

The credit crunch is a killer when it lands at your house. Having to renew a mortgage at a higher interest rate is one way banks are making life difficult for families that were already at the edge of financial solvency. Just as damaging is the practice of credit card companies to boost their rates or boost the minimum monthly payment. People are facing foreclosure and destroyed credit ratings and need to consider credit repair options if they ever want to dig themselves out of this financial hole. Consider the case of someone who carries a large balance on a premium, low interest credit card that guarantees a 1.99% interest rate. The credit card company can't change that rate, but if they boost the minimum down payment from interest only, to interest plus 1% of the balance, a $50 per month payment increases to $450. That's the credit crunch hitting consumers.
